The staffs r friendly Free real (not industrialised) coffee from coffee machine. Short walking distance to main train/mrt station also to few halal n vegetarian restaurants Japanese smart toilet
I hate to give bad comment but I stayed in hundreds of hostels n hotels in many countries, I consider this hostel one of the worst I ever been. The shared room is ridiculously small cubicle with 2 bunk beds in a 3/4 of a car park space. no space for luggage, beside lying on bed or stand on a spot, practically no space for anything. Very uncomfortable so I changed to a private room which was also the same size but sleeping on a sofa not a bed. The coffin size sofa was hard with hard hand rests not a pillow, it was not for sleeping purpose, sleeping on it was exactly like lying on a coffin in a prison cell. All the rooms were all open top, it was so noisy from many inconsiderate people n snorings throughout the nights. The staff only comes in the afternoon n can only check in after 4pm. The toilet had been dirty n smelly throughout my stay Honestly this is the only hostel I consider not value for money n highly not recommended

Great location for a short staying and budget travel.
Great location. Convenient stores and Sukiya (24hr Japanese restaurant) are around the corner. It takes only 5 mins to go to MRT/Taipei Railway station and National Taiwan Museum. Clerks have good hospitality.
Hygiene, hygiene, hygiene. Cushions for the sofa bed are found under the bed, which raises my concerns. And the stains on the passage carpet is just mind blowing. The gateway door of my block is constantly open since the spring seems failing to work - - once a person walks out, the door won't be shut again. And that let those noise waltz in from the lounge. By the way, I happened to see there's a couple stranded in front of the reception desk during the midnight. God forbid working at night.

Great location
Very very small rooms and not very private, especially when you have a top bunk. When sitting on the top bunk you can see into other rooms and others can see into yours easily. It was also very bright at night since the emergency light was so bright. Not enough shower stalls, and there was a window open so I got a bunch of mosquito bites.
